NAME

ssl-genca - Creates an OpenSSL Certificate Authority

 

SYNOPSIS

ssl-genca [-p path]

 

DESCRIPTION

Creates an SSL certificate to make the frontend machine a Certificate Authority. This in turn allows the new CA to sign user and server certificates. Which enable users to run UCB's rexec.

The first time root logs into the newly kickstarted frontend this script is run. You should not need to ever run it by hand again.

 

FLAGS

-p path

Sets the path to the SSL directory. The default is /usr/pki.
