Description:
The Lifecycle Controller is the engine for advanced embedded management and
is delivered as part of iDRAC Express in the new generation Dell servers. It
simplifies platform configuration, OS install, updates and platform diagnostics
in a pre-OS environment via
• Unified Server Configurator, a graphical UI for 1-to-1 local access
• Remote Services, WSMan interfaces for remote access

Fixes / Enhancements:
Below are the enhancements in this version of the product,

Unified Server Configurator –
1. Configure and update series 7 storage controller. Security key configuration
for Self-encrypting drives
2. Enable/Disable automatic firmware flash on part replacement
3. Enable auto discovery and configure provisioning server or console address
4. Perform baseline updates using the repository created using Dell Repository
Manager
5. Configure boot order for the system

Remote Services –
1. Boot to a pre-OS image (such as WinPE) stored on the vFlash
2. Automatic firmware flash for replaced parts in the system
3. Remotely initiate an offline update of BIOS, firmware, and driver
pack. Schedule updates for later upgrade
4. Remote inventory of BIOS, firmware, driver pack, diagnostics, etc
5. Consoles can view applicable updates and their criticality for systems
in the network
