UEFI Boot Settings

Use the UEFI Boot Settings window to control boot settings of the system, when Boot Mode is set to UEFI. This field has no effect when Boot Mode is set to BIOS.

NOTE: The help page may include information about features and values that are not supported on your system. Server Administrator displays only the features and values that are supported on your system.

User Privileges

Selection View Manage
UEFI Boot Settings Administrator, Elevated Administrator (Linux only) Administrator, Elevated Administrator (Linux only)
NOTE: For more details on user privilege levels, see Privilege Levels In The Server Administrator GUI.
NOTE:  Based on available hardware, dependencies may exist between the various attributes for settings. For example, setting an attribute value may change the state of the dependent attributes to non-editable or editable, as the case may be. For example, changing the Boot Mode to BIOS from the Boot Settings page does not allow you to configure the UEFI Boot Sequence in the UEFI Boot Settings page.

UEFI Boot Sequence

Controls the UEFI boot order. If the first option in the list is attempted and unsuccessful, the second option is attempted by default. The system attempts to launch only the enabled boot options and not the disabled boot options. This field applies only when Boot Mode is set to UEFI; it has no effect when Boot Mode is BIOS.

NOTE: UEFI Boot Sequence can be configured when Boot Mode is set to UEFI. If set to BIOS, the configuration fails.
